In a ceremony filled with deep spiritual significance, two dedicated Brothers, Bro. Anson Mukkath and Bro. Sibin Vincent, made their Solemn Profession at Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. Joseph’s Basilica, Varapuzha, on May 25, 2024, at 4:00 pm. The event marked a pivotal moment in their religious journey as they committed themselves to the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience.

The Holy Eucharist, which was central to the ceremony, was presided over by Rev. Fr. Jacob Paxy, the Councilor in charge of Formation. His guidance and spiritual leadership provided a profound backdrop for the occasion, underscoring the importance of the commitments being made.

The event saw the presence of more than 30 priests who gathered to bless and support the Brothers in their solemn vow-taking. Family members and laity also attended in large numbers, adding to the community’s joy and support for Bro. Anson and Bro. Sibin as they embarked on this sacred path.

The Basilica, known for its historical and spiritual significance, provided a majestic setting for the ceremony. The atmosphere was one of reverence and celebration, with prayers and hymns resonating through the sacred space.

Rev. Fr. John Vazhakoottathil OCD , in his homily, emphasized the dedication and sacrifice involved in the path chosen by Bro. Anson and Bro. Sibin. He highlighted the virtues of commitment and service that the two Brothers exemplify, encouraging the congregation to support and pray for them as they continue their spiritual journey.
