The great flood in Kerala’s history taught us many things to remember for life and future.Any thing can happen at any time. Therefore be prepared.We are one children of God. Therefore We are one children of God.The terrific situation caused by flood made us to keep open our hearts and the doors of Carmel Ashram, Ayyampilly. Both the Monastery and the out house sheltered around 167 people for few days.The authorized relief centers brought food for them. Carmel Ashram gave a pack of food items [rice and groceries] costing about 650 Rs.to 32 poor families affected by the flood.
